(A Commentary on Consciousness & Fundamental Reality)

Hi, dear people, my name is Graham Hansen. I am of a Hermetic disposition and I have made it my life's work to understand the fundamental nature and routine of Creation, and the manner in which it interacts with our own personal existence and determines who and what we are as much loved individuals who never die.

I refer to this existential system of things as the "Way of the Natural & Profound," which is introduced below by a few observations on the subject.

(Know You Never Die)

This Commentry stems from the fundamental premise that the Universe we see around us is a manifestation and extension of a Universal Being Source of Pure Living Consciousness that is the very essence of life itself.

It is a premise, my friends, that establishes the Living Consciousness of the Universal Being Source to be the wellspring of the underlying consciousness of all things whatsoever, which must first be in evidence before any aspect of the physical world can materialise. In the case of the living species, including human beings, this means that our consciousness prevails before and after the affairs of the physical body.

The premise also establishes that Consciousness is the very epitome and embodyment of Being; to the extent where, if Consciousness were taken out of the existential equation, we would be left with complete and utter nothing!

The following Reality Statements best summarise and describe the Way of Natural & Profound:-

1 To start at the beginning, it would be correct to say that all things whatsoever have to have a basis for existence in a “Universal Being Source” that is the very definition of the state of existence itself.

2 Consistent with this fundamental principle, we can further say that such a Being Source has to be a self-extant and self-sufficient phenomenon that is infinite by nature and definition. We can, in fact, postulate that it is the wellspring of the hues and shades of Creation and its life forms!

3 To suggest that there is not such a Being Source, my friends, would be to suggest that non-existence gave rise to the existential state in the first instance and that you and I and all things are born of nothing, as a form of nothing, destined to return to nothing. This, of course, is nonsense!

4 Given the inevitable reality of a Universal Being Source as a self-extant phenomenon, we can be certain that it could not have come from “somewhere at sometime.” The somewhere at sometime aspects are about place and time , which are no more than effects of the physical world that had its origins in the Universal Being Source in the first instance. Place and time, in other words, are no more than secondary considerations in the overall scheme of things and have no relevance when considering the status quo of the Universal Being Source itself!

5 Because the notion of non-existence serving as the basis of all life and being is a nonsense, and because the Universal Being Source has to prevail before all else, we have no option but to conclude that it is the veritable Essence of everything that derives from it, including the living consciousness and thinking intelligence of the higher life forms. From this it can be deduced that this quintessence of all life and being, most surely has to epitomise everything that Living Consciousness and Thinking Intelligence stands for!

6 So it is, my friends, that the only alternative to the spurious and impossible notion of all things deriving from a basis of complete and utter nothing, is a situation where all life and being originates in a Universal Being Source of Living Consciousness from which the Thinking Intelligence and Life of Creation streams forth. It is the stark difference between a considered, initiated and directed Creation, and a Creation that could not otherwise be. This is also to say that all things whatsoever can be nothing less than a particular expression of Living Consciousness!

7 The validity of the Universal Being Source of Living Consciousness is also evident in the truism that the existential state can only have a basis in an infinite, self-perpetuating continuum that can be defined as "something that exists." And, even if we doggedly cling to the spurious idea of nothing serving as the basis of life and being, hard nose logic soon catapults us back to the "something that exists" contention. This is because nothing with the capacity to produce existence of any kind, ceases to be nothing and must then be regarded as "something." And if it is "something, it has to be "something” that lives, contemplates and creates as a Being of Living Consciousness.

8 It is within the context of a Living Consciousness initiating and directing the affairs of Creation that atomic particles are driven by that Consciousness to enable and regulate their functional activity in the general scheme of things. Living Consciousness as such, is the mind of matter!

9 Given that we can accept the concept of a Universal Being Factor of Living Consciousness as the basis and essence of all life and being, the author will refer to the Factor as the Living "Source Consciousness," or "Source Consciousness." He will also personalise the Consciousness by adding the word "Aum" to it. One of the most beautiful and inspiriing definitions of the word "Aum" comes from Hindu tradition which states: "As Creation began, the divine, all-encompassing Consciousness took the form of the first and original vibration, manifesting as the sound "Aum," or "Om."

10 This has all been fairly straightforward to this point, but it now takes us into realms that will radically change our perspective of who and what we are and the nature of the world about us. This revolves around the fact that human consciousness cannot avoid being a particular expression of the Aum Source Consciousness, which means that the consciousness of the human individual must prevail prior to the development of the physical body and its various sense organs, including the brain!

11 Just as the Aum Source Consciousness, prevails as the existential basis of all things whatsoever, prior to the emergence of physical phenomena deriving from that Consciousness, so too must the living consciousness of the human species, as an expression of the Living Source Consciousness, prevail before the affairs of the physical body. (As it is throughout Creation, so it is with humanity!)

12 This is plainly evident in the system of human reproduction on this planet, whereby the Living Aum Consciousness is passed on to mankind via a natural system of being to be expressed as the living consciousness of the human species. This living human consciousness is then carried forward by succeeding generations of mankind in the form of reproductive matter, which is subsequently fused by the conception process to produce an individualised version of that living consciousness.

13 The newly created, individualised version of the living consciousness of the species, then takes on bodily form in the womb in accordance with the various genetic codes built into the reproductive matter that is representative of that consciousness.

14 The above statement may be difficult to comprehend, my friends, but always keep in mind that the first thing we pass on before all else to offspring, is our living consciousness; without which we would not be around to pass on anything whatsoever! Everything about us, including reproductive matter, follows on from this fundamental truism. Indeed, the same is true of every aspect of Creation; there must first be Living Consciousness before there can be anything whatsoever! What this means essentially is that Consciousness is the generative source of Life and Being!

15 It has to be reiterated that it is not logically possible for the newly individualised version of living consciousness to be a product of the intricate workings of the material body. This is because such a system would dictate that matter, whatever its description or level of development, is ultimately a product of that which does not exist. This, of course, is unworthy of the intelligence of man. Hence the indisputable reality of the Living Source Consciousness prevailing before all else and providing a system of being whereby living consciousness always precedes and initiates bodily form in the dimensional world!

16 A profound implication of the living consciousness of predecessors serving as the basis of the human individual, is that we become indestructible and eternal the very moment we become viable following the act of conception. The body in this sense is merely an outward expression of the living consciousness that gave rise to it and simply fades out of existence when the time comes for it to do so, leaving its conscious base (designating self) complete and intact.

17 After Self departs the physical body, it has a heightened sense of awareness and can still very much see, hear, experience, and so on, but cannot interact with the physical world to any significant extent. As a consequence, it cannot generally be discerned by that world anymore. It is at that point, or soon after, that Self automatically merges with a “Natural Homeland” that is compatible with Self’s general demeanour and experience of life. It is from there that Self can continue to develop and embrace the whole spectrum of being and, thus, move on to ever-higher levels of the Homelands.

18 When Self passes over from the physical world, it automatically sheds the concerns and wants of the physical body and reverts to the very essence of what it is as a being of living consciousness. Self then recognises itself to be a precious and much loved expression of the profound reality of all that is, with an eternity to become completely as one with that reality. As a consequence, Self becomes more and more aware of who and what it is relative to the profundity of its environment.

19 So it is, my friends, that we have moved on from being influenced by some of our most respected theories of being, which strongly imply that we and all things are ultimately born of nothing, as a form of nothing, destined to return to nothing, to the point where we can now reach out to a profound and powerful reality where we and all things are born of consciousness, as a form of consciousness, destined to return to consciousness!

20 Because the veritable Aum Source Consciousness is the essence, energy and pure being force determining the nature and structure of the Creation emanating from it, it also has to be the generative source of the harmony and balance that literally prevents the system of being from imploding.

21 This harmony and balance issuing from the Aum Source Consciousness can, in human terms, be defined as pure, Unconditional Love, which radiates forth as the specific nature and building energy of the whole of Creation and, as such, must always be to the fore in human relationships to prevent the disintegration of human beingness. Its absence will always prove to be contrary and calamitous to the human state!

22 In concluding these Reality Statements, it is absolutely certain that the human individual is a being of living consciousness that never dies. This conclusion, moreover, is enshrined in the fundamental truth that Living Consciousness is the gemerative basis of all life and being. It is a truth that can never be sullied or logically disputed! Thank you dear people.
